How ticketing works on Covered
Ticket types
Every event has one or more ticket types — each with its own name, price and capacity. Guests choose a ticket type at checkout, and each type sells out independently of the others.
Pricing
A ticket type can be free, or priced at £1 or more — Covered doesn't support prices between £0 and £1.
Scheduling when tickets go on sale
You can optionally set an “on sale from” date and time for a ticket type — a ticket drop — so it only becomes available to buy from that moment, even if the event itself is already published.
Add-ons
Beyond ticket types, you can attach add-ons to an event — optional extras like a bottle or a merch item, each with its own price. Guests pick add-ons and quantities at checkout, alongside their ticket.
Promoter events are always ticketed
Venues choose their ticketing model via venue type (see “Adding your venue or brand”). Promoter/brand accounts have no venue type at all, so their events always use this same independent per-ticket-type capacity model.
