Refunding or cancelling a booking
Refund vs. void — which one to use
Refund — a real Stripe refund, for confirmed, paid bookings only, within 30 days of the original booking. It's a full refund only — there's no partial-refund option. Covered's platform fee isn't returned to you. Refunding also voids any wallet pass for that booking, emails the guest a refund confirmation, and lets any waitlisted guest know a spot may have opened.
Void — cancels the booking with no refund. Use this for a free or comped booking, or a paid one you deliberately want to keep the charge on. If you void a paid booking, you'll see a clear warning that the guest keeps being charged and won't get their money back — this can't be undone.
Where to do this
Open the booking from Transactions or from the event's guest list, then choose the relevant action in the order detail view.
