Adding the booking widget to your website
Show your events and take bookings directly on your own website, without sending customers to Covered. The booking widget is available to both venues and brands.
Set it up
Go to Promote → Website widget and turn the Booking widget on.
Click Configure.
Choose your Button color, Accent color and Background (or a transparent background, to blend in with your page). The preview shows how it will look.
Under Allowed domains, add every web address your site uses — for example both yourvenue.co.uk and www.yourvenue.co.uk. The widget only loads on the addresses listed here.
Copy the embed snippet and paste it into your website where you want the widget to appear. Most website builders and WordPress have an "HTML" or "Custom code" block for this.
Ad tracking and cookie consent
If you've connected a Meta Pixel (see Connecting Meta Pixel), the widget sends your bookings to Meta, including which ad a customer came from. It only does this for visitors who have accepted marketing cookies on your website's own cookie banner, because the widget doesn't show a banner of its own.
What you need to do depends on your cookie banner:
Complianz, Cookiebot, OneTrust, or a WordPress banner that supports the WordPress Consent API: nothing. The widget reads your visitors' Marketing choice automatically.
Any other banner: add this code to your site, run whenever a visitor makes or changes their choice. It works whether it runs before or after the widget loads.
window.CoveredEmbed = window.CoveredEmbed || {}; // true if they accepted marketing, false if they rejected CoveredEmbed.marketingConsent = true; Most banners have a setting for running code when a visitor accepts or rejects. If yours doesn't, your web developer can add it in a few minutes.
No cookie banner: the widget sends nothing to Meta.
A few tips
List Covered and Meta (Facebook) Pixel under marketing cookies in your cookie policy.
Point your ads at the page on your website that has the widget. The widget picks up the ad a visitor clicked, so Meta can credit the booking to it.
If you also have your own Meta Pixel on your website, use the same Pixel ID in Covered. Your page views may appear twice in Meta (one from your page, one from the widget), but bookings are only counted once.
