Creating and sending an email campaign

Starting a campaign

Marketing → Campaigns → New campaign, or start from a ready-made layout under Marketing → Templates — “Use template” carries its subject, preview text and content into a brand-new, fully independent campaign, with nothing left linked to the template afterwards. A campaign moves through four steps: Setup, Content, Test, Send.

Setup

Name (internal only — recipients never see it), subject line, preview text (the snippet most inboxes show after the subject line), From name, and Reply-to. Leave From name or Reply-to blank to use your venue's default sending address (see Settings).

Content

Built with a drag-and-drop email builder, not a plain text box. Add blocks from the panel — Heading, Text, Button, Image, Event, Upcoming events, Divider, Spacer, Social, Section, 2 Columns — and arrange them on the canvas, previewing how it'll look on Desktop or Mobile as you go.

Test

Sends the exact saved content to one address of your choosing, without touching the campaign's own recipient list or stats. It does still count toward your monthly sending limit, the same as a real send (see Email marketing plans and sending limits) — so a handful of test sends is fine, but it's not a free, unlimited preview loop.

Send

Choose a saved segment, then send now or schedule for later. Sending builds the recipient list from that segment's membership at that exact moment. A scheduled campaign can be cancelled before it goes out; a send that stalls partway through can be resumed. Once a campaign has started sending, its content and audience can no longer be edited.

After sending

The campaign's own report page (and Marketing → Reports for everything at once) shows estimated recipients, sent, delivered, opened and clicked counts, plus your top clicked links — updating live while a send is still in progress.
